Our partners

In 2016, the Debrecen Smart City division was established, within EDC Debrecen Nonprofit Ltd. The new division’s aim was, to support and integrate the tasks related to innovative urban development and economic development activities in a professional manner as a dedicated external organisation. Over the years, the focus of the projects has shifted towards urban mobility, thus in the autumn of 2021 the division was merged into DKV Ltd (Debrecen’s Public Transport Company). The close cooperation with EDC has of course been maintained, and they participate actively in several running projects.

In 2017. March Debrecen joined the Waze Connected Citizens Program. The partnership allowed us to provide a navigation application and a platform to the citizens which is up-to-date with the recent changes.

In addition to the Waze partnership, Debrecen launched an informative communication campaign, so every citizen would learn about the upcoming major changes and the App. The campaign brought the whole city together, companies and third-party partners chipped in to help spread the word.

Encouraged by the success in the recent campaign, we will keep promoting the application in Debrecen. We keep up interest with the help of our prizes and giveaways sponsored by partners.
