Results

The E-Ticket system is getting more and more popular every month, since it is easy to use, quick, and convenient. Five percent of passes sold are already using E-IDs. By June of 2018, more than 6,000 E-Passes had been sold, two-thirds of which were purchased online.

Summary

According to DKV, although ticket vending machines are popular, passengers want even simpler solutions. Thus, they wish to install cash-free kiosks at certain high-traffic locations in the city. These kiosks will provide passenger information, route planning, and an opportunity to purchase E-Passes with payment cards.

The project reached another milestone with the launch of mobile ticket sales on DKV buses and trams on October 1, 2020. In the first week, hundreds of people used the cashless, convenient travel option available on all lines, which only requires downloading an app. The price of a transport mobile ticket is the same as the pre-purchase price of a paper-based line ticket, and the purchase and validation of the ticket are completed through the app.
