URBACT Thriving Cities
Purpose / Description
Mobility is the common trait of various urban politics: "Thriving cities" connects mobility with economic abundance, accessibility, inclusion, participation, and health to engage efforts to become attractive and flexible cities.
Process / Execution
The URBACT action plan’s networks enhance local sustainable policies through integrated action planning and European city-wide idea sharing and learning processes. Thriving Streets is a network of ten cities which work jointly in economic and social aspects to enhance sustainable mobility via custom-made strategies and action plans in an urban environment.
Thriving Streets takes urban mobility policy challenges into consideration, such as health, accessibility, economic wellbeing, inclusion, and participation to create user-oriented mobility patterns and work towards forming more livable and flexible cities.
The URBACT III project is jointly funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
